As far as watching movies together goes, one of the easiest things I have seen is using Netflix over XBox Live. Of course this requires both parties to have XBox Live gold accounts and netflix, but if you do, watching a movie together is as simple as clicking "watch with party." You even get the live voice chat over xbox live during the movie!

If you use Google Contacts to keep track of your friends and family's contact information, Google Calendar has the ability to display the birthdays and anniversaries of contacts in specific Contact groups for you, so that you do not have to add the information individually for each contact.

Steph, this is SUCH a great post! Erik and I do all these things, and it does make everything so much easier. :) As far as playing games goes, you could also throw in MMOs, which you can play together in the same party, or, as in an MMO I'm familiar with, Asda Story, you have the option of having a "soulmate", meaning you and your SO can play together and benefit from each others skills and powers.

Great stuff, Steph. I'm looking forward to the follow-up posts. :)
